New Member Calendar

In the first semester as a Delta Gamma, New Members have many events planned just for them. Each week they will have their own meeting as a group, planned around their school schedules, to learn about Delta Gamma and establish a bond between each other. For the first 6 weeks of their new member period, they are paired with a “Sailor Sister”, who will show them around campus, guide them through their freshman year, or just hang out with them when they need a friend. This is a great way for the new members to get to know sisters they didn’t get to meet during recruitment, and a great way to settle in on campus. 

We have mixers and Semi-formal lined up for New Members to let loose and have fun, and we also hold study sessions for them to attend if they need extra help with hitting the books. Our new members are our top priority, so if they need anything we want them to come to us for guidance on help, no matter the issue. 

Every New Member also receives a big sister, who will act as her mentor within Delta Gamma. After 6 weeks of Sailor Sisters and meeting the chapter members, it is time to choose their big sister. They will have a new member retreat, where member class bonding will be a priority and the selections will be made for big sis. 

As a chapter there will be a lot of events the new members will be able to attend, but we know how hard time management is, and our Chapter Management Team plans our calendar out so that we don’t feel overwhelmed. Our new members are the future of our chapter, and during their new member period they will have some of their best DG memories.
